Package deludente...!!?? Ragazzi ma cosa volevate il box metallico di Band of Brothers??? Per 49.00 euro credo che il cofanetto sia adeguato, elegante... insomma ben fatto. I contenuti poi sono perfetti. Insomma un gran bel lavoro, criticarlo significa cercare il pelo nell'uovo... la perfezione non è di questo mondo...

Lo spirito di Anakin è ora fra i jedi e quindi non può avere il viso 'corroso' dal lato oscuro. Ecco quindi che l' unica forma possibile e quella prima del passaggio al male. Inoltre se ricordate bene nella vecchia trilogia Yoda spiega a Luke che Anakin è morto nel momento in cui è passato al lato oscuro. Concludendo spiace anche a me vedere rimaneggiata la trilogia classica, ma credo fosse un aggiornamento necessario in vista dell' esalogia completa.

Sembra che i casi Trinità o Ritorno al futuro* non ci()vi abbiano insegnato nulla.
Leggiamo(te) qui invece di fare tante moine presuntuose del tipo io ho visto i film primo di voi come sono paraculo.
queste sono le cose serie e TRISTI PURTROPPO
During the first dive to attack the Death Star (1:14 into Chapter 45 or 1:46:13 into the movie) the music is completely dialed out of the main channels and is inaudible during the movie. This is a section of music that previously had a very prominent role in the action. The remnants of the music (a grand statement of the Force theme) can be heard in the surround channels, but with all of the channels engaged in a properly calibrated home theater, you cannot hear this music. The next fifteen seconds has the music coming and going as finally the music seems to come back in fully at the 1:46:27 mark (1:29 into the chapter), but that fifteen seconds is enough to make anyone question this new re-mix and really miss the music that was always there.
The other problem with the music lasts throughout the entire 124 running time of the film. The music that is mixed into the surround channels is reversed, completely throwing off the music sound stage. The front speakers have the music mixed into the proper channels. The error with the surrounds can be most easily heard during the opening and closing titles as well as the Throne Room. A section that I'm fond of occurs in chapter 7 (2:16 into the chapter, 13:38 into the film). It's a very close mic'd recording of a tuba. It should come from the right side of your home theater, but instead the sound comes from the right front channel and the left surround channel! And this is not an isolated incident.
Keep in mind that all of the sound effects that come from the rear speakers are mixed properly. This flaw only effects John Williams' Oscar winning score.

UPDATE #1: From The Digital Bits:
In all the hype over the DVD release of Star Wars, I'm afraid to say there's a bit of bad news about the discs (or at least one of them) from a quality standpoint. We've discovered what we believe are serious audio defects on Episode IV - A New Hope. We've updated our DVD review of the set accordingly with the details as follows:
1) The familiar Force theme trumpet fanfare that used to play right after Red Leader says: 'This is it!' and just as the X-wings start diving towards the Death Star's surface has been dialed back in volume so that it's almost inaudible - it's almost completely buried in the surround mix.
2) The audio quality varies wildly as Tarkin says the line: 'You would prefer another target, a military target? Then name the system.' - almost as if the master sound element was damaged. It's very distracting.
3) Possibly most critically, John Williams' entire score for the film has been flipped in the rear channels, so that what should be the left rear channel is playing from the right rear channel (and vise versa). What this means is that the rear channels don't match the front channels - instruments heard from the front right channel come from the left rear instead of the right rear. Again, this is very distracting once you notice it.
These problems are certainly severe enough in our opinion to merit a repressing/exchange of the disc. We're waiting to hear back from Lucasfilm on this issue and we'll update this review with the details as soon as we do.
UPDATE #2: From JWFan contributor John Takis (via Ain't It Cool News):
'A good friend of mine has brought to my attention the fact that John Williams' awe-inspiring Star Wars score has been severely mishandled on the new DVD.
'The score has been flipped in the rear-channels. Not the sound-effects, which are properly placed. Just the score. Not in the front channels. Just the rear channels.
'This is not a minor or superficial detail. Readers will recall that the entire PURPOSE of stereo and surround-sound in music is so that the various instruments are correctly positioned. Violins on the left, cellos on the right. Percussion on the left, low brass on the right. And so on. Instrument direction matters in music, especially orchestral music … if it didn't, there would be no reason to consider stereo or 5.1 recordings superior to mono.
'Just go to chapter 49 on the new 'Star Wars' DVD — the 'Throne Room' scene. Violins come from the hard-right on the surrounds, cellos hard-left, while the front-channel mix is correct. Many people will not be sensitive enough to notice this flaw. That doesn't erase the flaw, or make it less significant. It is essentially a 124-minute audio glitch. And it's not simply a case of crossed speaker-wires ... as I said, the sound-effects are correctly positioned in the surround channels. It's just the music that's backwards.
'And this is just one flaw in a highly questionable sound-mix. We also have missing sound-effects (it's possible they were left off intentionally in some cases), dialogue-quality that varies widely over the course of a single line ('You would prefer another target, a military target?' — crystal clear; 'Then name the system!' — old and cruddy, with no attempt to balance or smooth the transition), and — perhaps most annoyingly — dialed-out music. Remember the awesome fanfare-version of the Force theme that kicks off the Death Star battle? Good luck hearing it this time around — it's virtually inaudible.

Ho letto preticamente tutti i commenti, penso di essermi fatto un'idea abbastanza precisa di quello che stà succedendo.
Tanto per cominciare, parliamo di diritti.
Paradossalmente, se venisse fuori oggi, un discendente fantomatico di Leonardo DaVinci, ereditiero della Gioconda, esso avrebbe il diritto di spaccarla in 4 e farne legna da ardere. Va da se che tu, caro George, attuale possessore di tutti i diritti di Star wars, Indiana Jones, e una miriade di altra roba, hai il potere di sostituire Mark Hamill con Jim Carrey, mettere E.T. al posto di Yoda, e fare tutte le amenità che ti vengono in mente.
Il vero crimine, se così si può chiamare, non è fare uscire un cofanetto con i film rifatti e modificati, quello è un suo diritto, ma è l'ESCLUDERE a priori che la prima, vera trilogia possa mai prendere forma su DVD! Nessuno, o per lo meno io, pretende un altro mega-cofanetto pieno zeppo di speciali, bonus, interviste, e la scena aggiunta in cui Boba Fett gioca a scopa con Han solo, ma credo che una semplice edizione in DVD, esattamente così come era nel '77, senza ridoppiaggi, senza audio 10.70, senza nulla di diverso di come era 20 e rotti anni fa, sia il minimo che un autore possa fare, per lo meno per preservare 3 pietre miliari del cinema e permettere che continuino a vivere anche senza l'opprimente ombra della tua nuova trilogia.
Ridley Scott ha voluto cambiare e modificare il suo ALIEN, ma comunque nella sua (stupenda) quadrilogia ha inserito anche il film originale!
PRENDI ESEMPIO!!!
CARO GEORGE, vuoi disconoscere i tuoi film del 77? Ok, infatti hai fatto un supercofanetto con i tre film del 97 a loro volta cambiati e modificati, in modo che combacino, o creino un collegamento (assolutamente forzato, ma questa è un altra storia) con la trilogia nuova. OK, hai dimostrato che per te esistono solo i NUOVI film, BENISSIMO, milioni di fan andranno su tutte le furie, ma OK, lo volevi fare e lo hai fatto, era tuo diritto! Ma se mi permetti è ora un tuo DOVERE MORALE fare in modo che 3 film che hanno una loro identità, un loro contesto storico, e che rappresentano un PILASTRO importante di quel grande soffitto che è la storia del cinema, NON MUOIANO solo perchè ora hai iniziato a smanettare con un computer, NON VENGANO DIMENTICATI solo perchè sennò i posteri capiscono che questa tua 'nuova trilogia' è attaccata alla prima con lo scotch e un pò di sputo! TANTO FARAI USCIRE PRIMA O POI L'ESALOGIA COMPLETA, e li dentro poi potrai metterci quello che vuoi, ma salva QUEI TRE FILM, sono figli tuoi e non puoi disconoscerli solo perchè i tuoi figli nuovi ti sembrano più belli.
E' immorale, è sbagliato, è ingiusto!
Per concludere...
Come ho detto prima, hai il diritto di fare quello che vuoi con un prodotto che sebbene appartenga moralmente all'umanità, appartiene legalmente a te. E se hai qualche dovere, si tratta di un dovere morale e di consequenza non perseguibile.
Quindi tu puoi rifilarci quello che ti pare, noi probabilmante lo compreremo lo stesso, alla luce delle tue dichiarazioni secondo le quali non vedremo mai le vecchie edizioni in DVD.
Tu hai il diritto di fare tutto quello che vuoi, ma io mi riservo il diritto di mandarti affanculo, e di sperare che i miei soldi ti vadano di traverso.

Forse Lucas ha deciso di inserire Hayden Christensen nella scena finale per dare l'ultima immagine di Anakin come Jedi 'buono', cioè prima che passasse al lato oscuro, problema che ovviamente non si pone con Obi Wan e Yoda...

Aiutaci DVDWeb, sei la nostra unica speranza!!!
Che qualcuno verifichi al più presto quanto riportato da Ciarlese (e che anch'io ho letto, grazie per il link Cia') e ci renda edotti se, oltre a dover sottostare alle follie di Lucas coi suoi 1000 cambiamenti, dovremo anche sopportare questa terribile 'ingenuita' dei responsabili del mix audio. Speriamo che ciò non sia vero, ma se lo fosse, quanto dovremo aspettare perchè l'errore venga corretto? Se mi capita a tiro il responsabile un colpo di folgoratore non glielo leva nessuno, altro che tempi più civilizzati!

I primi commenti da chi ha visto il film negli USA ( ma non solo) parlano di errore nel mixing della musica nei canali surround e altre cose.
Problemi che difficilmente sono il frutto di scelte fatte a tavolino.
Qui maggiori info.
p.s.: certo, dopo tutto questa ostentazione di virtu' video, cadere nell' audio... che figuraccia.

C'è una cosa in particolare che non riesco a mandare giu, vanno bene tutti i cambiamenti e i vari adattamenti che Lucas ha inserito nel suo mega cofanettone, possono anche starci... ma, per quale assurda ragione sostituire Sebastian Shaw (sto parlando della scena finale di episodio VI) con Hayden Christensen, non ha senso a livello cronologico. A questo punto dovevano sostituire anche Alec Guinness con Ewan McGregor! In sostanza i'fantasmi' dei tre jedi appaiono con l'aspetto e l'eta di quando sono morti, perchè ringiovanirli, non ha senso.
