Il medium (1980) è un film drammatico italiano diretto da Silvio Amadio, che mescola elementi di paranormale e tensione psicologica.  La trama ruota attorno a Paul Robbins, un musicista americano che si trasferisce a Roma con il figlio dopo la morte della moglie. Ben presto, il ragazzo comincia a manifestare comportamenti inquietanti e inspiegabili. Preoccupato, Paul lo fa visitare da uno psichiatra, ma i risultati non portano a nulla di concreto. Disperato, si rivolge allora a un celebre medium, nella speranza di comprendere l'origine dei disturbi del figlio.
